The start of cold weather means the start of the flu season which can cause problems if you have breathing and circulation problems. To help you stay fit and well, it’s important to keep warm at home and outdoors, follow as healthy a lifestyle as you can and have a flu jab.
One of the Key ways to stay warm in winter is to isolate your clothing so that you can keep the warmth in and cold out. It is very important for the people who have compromised immune systems to keep themselves warm, as the decrease in the body’s normal temperature will affect immunity. Here are some tips which would help you to stay warm in winter

Clothing:
  • Wrapping up your body is very important. Clothes made from wool, polyester or synthetic fibers are usually warmer and  are recommended to wear in winter.
  • Keeping a shawl around the shoulders or thick blanket over the knees will provide a lot of warmth.
  • Wearing fleece slippers in house will help you in keeping your feet warm.
  • Pure cotton thermal inner wear would probably work if the temperature is low.
